This 1967 Riley Elf has received a ton of work and is now a shining example of a Mk III Elf. The "Booted Minis" as they are known as, are some of the rarest and most hard to find Mini submodels, especially in restored condition like this one. This Mini is an absolute pleasure to drive, and no service at all is needed. It is perfect for someone who wants to stand out from all the other Minis. 62000 original miles on the odometer, but it has had a rebuilt engine installed in the past few years. Clean AZ title. This Elf's name is Percy.
The exterior of this Riley is absolutely stunning. Finished in it's original color, Yukon grey, the paint is in near perfect shape, with some very small defects here and there from driving. It is complete with all of the special trim, which has near perfect chrome with virtually no defects. Amber spotlamps have also been fitted, along with a flip open fuel cap cover- period looking modifications. A fold back sunroof has been installed, so you can enjoy those sunny days and get a cool breeze through your hair. It rides on it's original steel wheels with all the factory hubcaps (a near impossible find) mounted with year old school Camac BN 313s. All of the lenses are also there, with no cracks.
The interior is immaculate, and really stresses the "luxuriousness" of this Riley. The seats have been completely restored with new foam and diaphragms and are upholstered in two toned faux ostrich skin and rich grain burgundy leather. The same applies to the door cards and shift boot. The grey carpet is pristine with oxblood bordering, and the A pillars and dash pads are lined in suede. The dashboard itself has no cracks or peeling and all gauges function. The steering wheel has been replaced with a burlwood aftermarket along with the shifter.
Mechanically it is also without fault. The engine has been replaced with a 1275cc A Plus unit, recently rebuilt buy Seven Enterprises. It has very few actual miles on it, and it has just received a service, along with coolant hoses and fluids. There are no leaks of any kind, and it runs perfectly, and sounds good with it's custom exhaust. The suspension is all in great shape, the steering rack and linkages have just been replaced, and the steering column has been fully rebuilt as well. This Mini rides on it's original hydrolastic system, one of the most superior suspension systems fitted to Minis. It sits perfectly and rides exceptionally well. The brakes are 7.5" Cooper S discs up front, with refreshed drums out back.
This is a fantastic show car, that you can also hop in and go anywhere in. As stated before, It is hard enough to find a booted Mini, let alone one in this great of shape, with no rust like this one.
