This early Mk III minis are becoming a hot commodity lately, especially for CA buyers. This one has received body and paint work in the last few years, so it is in very good condition. Very nicely done aswell, with frontal fog lamps, stripes, and nice 6x10" wheels.
Clean TX title, 75,000 original miles, and a very reliable little engine that starts up right away, make this a good choice for someone looking for a ready to roll car that won't break the bank.
The exterior is finished in a high gloss British Racing Green, complimented by a Frost White top and bonnet stripes. All of the chrome is in immaculate shape, and everything else flows very well on this car, like the newer Rover Cooper badges, black plastic flares and side piping, and the fogs. The mirrors have been replaced with larger bubble mirrors to aid your view, and the bonnet has been modified to be fully removable by use of bonnet pins. Everything is riding on salad shooter style wheels, with newer Yokohama A008 Tyres.
Inside is just as nice as the exterior, being redone recently. The Carpeting is black and inlaid with mats, parcels shelving also black. The seats have been recovered with a more plush black vinyl, and the rear seats are original, but in good shape. We also find a MOMO style steering wheel fitted. Chrome handles and accents line the panels as well to finish the look.
Under bonnet we can find a happy little 850 purring away. What the 850s lack in power, they seem to make up in reliability. This mini starts up immediately every time. She shifts smooth without any crunching or grinding, and runs cool. The brakes are all corner drums on this mini, however when we adjusted them all, it stops very good, without even pulling. Newer hydraulic systems were fitted, along with some other newer components. Nothing major needs to be done on this guy, but when it is time the removable bonnet makes it a breeze.
