Here we have a charming tribute of the iconic Monte Carlo Rally Minis. This 1990 Rover Mini Mayfair looks the part, but is going to be much more logical in the cost department. Powered by a super healthy 998cc engine coupled to a fully rebuilt AP Automatic gearbox, it is start and go! If you are looking to stand out from the crowd, look no further. Clean AZ title with less than 50,000 original miles.

This Mini Mayfair was imported back in 2017 from England- yes an actual British import!- and has been in the USA since. It is RHD and all instruments are in MPH. During it’s time overseas this Mini competed in the London to Brighton run twice, and participated in multiple rallies.

The bodyshell of this Mini does have some rust bubbling in various spots under the paint and decals- a very common issue, but apart from that the paint polishes up nice and draws a crowd. The livery is all stickers and decals, which could be removed. Included with this Mini is a genuine Monte style roofrack, complete with spares, and set of rally lamps. Group 2 arches are fitted, and it rides on standard 12” Minilite style alloys with newer tires.

Inside you will be nice and comfortable with extra plush reupholstered seats with extenders- which provide comfortable sitting positions for both tall and short individuals. A full multipiece rear roll cage has been fitted with fire safety equipment- providing a cool factor as well as functionality and safety. Instrumentation is factory, with the tachometer option fitted.

Providing power under bonnet is the original 998cc A+ series engine, equipped with a Mega-Cool system, Alloy intake, Performance exhaust system, header, and upgraded filter and snorkel, new belt, new mountings, and all new seals. The AP MkII autobox has just been fully rebuild, including seals, friction plates, servo seals, valve chest overhaul, and primary gear bushings. It drives strong and shifts great. If you want to manually control your shifts- the shifter has forced hold positions so you can manually control shift points on the fly, or pop it back in D for fully automated shifting. The suspension on this Mini is in need of service, and the brakes will need to be done soon, but we can help with that if you want to get it taken care of. Otherwise, drive it as is!

This is hands down one of the most comfortable and zippy auto Minis the owner has ever had the pleasure of driving, but it is time to move her on to make someone else extremely pleased. Don’t miss out on this lovely car- come drive it and you won’t be able to stop smiling! Just be prepared for all the attention you will be grabbing!
