Here we have an incredibly original Mini from New Zealand. Being a 1971, this Mini was the first full production year of the Mk III, and it is a pristine example. No Rust, Original Engine & Gearbox, Original Interior, Even resprayed in original colors! Clean AZ Title, ready for a collector.
The outside of this Mini is in astounding shape, resprayed in Bermuda Blue with an Old English White top. The paint is in excellent shape, with no rust spots, no fading, and nearly no dents less a small ding in the front panel. It has all of its correct badging, and original Trim and Lamps. Riding on Dunlop Style 10" Wheels with Yokohama A-008 Tyres.
On the interior we see an untouched original Cream Interior, with correct seats, steering wheel, switches, clocks, even the headliner. The Seats have no rips or tears at all, and are still plush! The carpet is of the standard grey type, with inlayed heel-mats, and matching Front and Rear parcel shelves.
Under the bonnet we see a freshly refreshed, yet original 998 A-Series Engine, coupled with its remote box. This Mini has received a ton of work in just the right areas. New Ignition system Including Plugs, Cap, Rotor, Wires, and an electronic ignition conversion for added reliability- without sacrificing the original appearance. A completely new cooling system has been fitted consisting of a new high flow 2 core radiator, high flow polymer water pump, new Kevlar radiator hoses, new High strength heater hoses, a new heater valve, and a new fan belt.
It has just received a full oil service, and has new air filter, and intake gaskets too. The original carb was swapped over to a more reliable HIF 38 that has just received a full rebuild, aswell as a performance header and aftermarket Intake.
Under car we have just had a full brake service on the original twin-leading drum system. All drums have been replaced, all new shoes, springs, and adjusters. Every wheel cylinder has been replaced with new, and even the master cylinder has been replaced. The Suspension is of the original dry cones, and no rust is on the vehicle at all. We do have photos of all of the common rust areas available, but as you will see there is no rust to be found.
