our mission
keeping the British car community on the road.
We at Wild Child Classic Cars believe in the importance of keeping the vintage British car community well taken care of. We strive to keep these vehicles in top condition and on the road. Our team specializes in the service of all classic British vehicles, especially the classic Mini and MG marques- and every day we strive to do our absolute top quality craft, with full attention to even the smallest of detail. There is simply no compromising here.
It is a well known fact that much of the knowledgeable mechanics and machinists that are familiar with these British marques are retiring, and it is feared that soon there will be no one left to take care of these very special vehicles. But rest assured, we vow to keep this niche alive and well. Our team of knowledgeable young, dedicated, and enthusiastic professionals are going to continue to offer our services to keep these cars on the road for future generations, so all of us can enjoy them in their full glory for a very long time.

OUR History
our shops growth and beginnings.
Established in 2018, Wild Child Classic Cars started off operating out of an 1800 sq ft shop in Tempe, AZ with just a small team of two. From the moment we opened, we realized that the Arizona British car community needed a dedicated specialist, and we quickly became very popular. We started selling parts in 2022, and rapid growth from unanimous praise and word of mouth allowed us to expand our inventory and become one of the major parts suppliers here in the USA. In 2024 high demand and an ever increasing inventory, coupled with the extreme need for in house machining, we made the jump into our current space, a 4200 sq ft shop, and are now able to provide more services than ever. We now provide full mechanical services, rust repair and metal work, full retail parts inventory, and have an in-house engine machine shop.

Nate kulpa
Owner / Head mechanic
Nate started working on engines at a young age, building go-karts and minibikes in suburban Chicagoland. After relocating to Arizona before highschool Nate developed a love for vintage vehicles, and after putting together a 1966 Morris Mini-Minor fell in love with the niche of British cars. He attended EVIT for automotive technologies and found himself employed at a handful of different classic car specialists through his late teens, learning the the lost arts of the trade and honing his skills before opening Wild Child in 2018 at the age of 20.
"I am the owner here at Wild Child, and I do most all types of mechanical work- but I really pride myself in our engine and gearbox rebuilds. I am the resident engine builder and machinist, but also will be your go-to technical question guy, as well as our service writer. In my downtime I like to garden and drive our 1980 Mini on long cross-country road trips and autocross events."
Meagan kulpa
parts department / reception
Meagan has been part of Wild Child since the beginning, supporting Nate's dream from when they met. She handles all things not directly "wrenching". Her position is absolutely critical to our shop operations, as she runs the parts department, front office, as well as handles installation of carpet and upholstery kits. If you are placing an order, she is the one getting everything out on time and accurately!
"Hi, I am the co-owner here at Wild Child, and I handle the front desk and parts department. If you place an order with us I am generally the one carefully packing your order. I also take care of various other shop operations like supplies and some ordering, and help out occasionally in the shop with interiors and glass. In my down time I can be found baking all sorts of goodies. I also foster neonatal kittens with Newborn Kitten Rescue, who specializes in medical cases and kittens that don't meet shelter criteria. If you see an incubator around our office, there is probably a kitten or two inside!"
Juan Vazquez
journeyman mechanic
Juan is an extremely hard working and talented mechanic. He also attended EVIT, graduating in 2020 and understands the importance of preserving the spirit of vintage cars. Juan started working for Wild Child in early 2020 and is well regarded as the backbone of our shop, always working hard behind the scenes and doing an excellent job on every car, every time. He does a wide array of work here, and is the one who makes everything look brand new.
"Hi, I am Juan and I am the other mechanic here. I tackle everything from pulling engines to reinstalling trim. My specialization is suspension and brakes, where I pride myself in making greasy, rusty, and tarnished parts look factory fresh. I generally handle all of the sandblasting and repainting of parts for a perfect finish. In my off time I like to attend and volunteer at Church and drive my 1964 Ford F100."
