If you are ever doing a water pump or head gasket, why wouldn't you replace this hose? These bypass hoses are kevlar reinforced with a thicker wall for durability. Technically this hose is used only on Cooper S engines as the small bore hoses were slightly shorter, however this hose can just be cut to fit.
