Did you plop down into your seat all excited to get out and drive your Mini just to find you fall through the bottom of the seat? Yep, it happens to everyone eventually.
 
This hybrid rubber strapping seat diaphragm is what supports the seat base and is a direct replacement for 1992on cars, which used a different seat base than earlier Minis. This is also found on many aftermarket seats, like certain Cobra series'.
